To keep the body running at its optimum, drink  at least 2 liters of clean, high quality water per day.  It takes approximately 45 days for the body to rehydrate and utilize the water for health and vitality.  The 2 liters is a minimum and the amount of water goes up depending on climate and physical activity.  The type of water is extremely important as well.  I would not recommend tap water for it contains many pollutants and dangerous chemicals like chlorine and fluoride.  Here are several of my favor resources on water.
