The average human being has 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts per day. Even more significant 80% of the thoughts are negative. This is important to know because of the mind/body connection or psychoneuroimmunology which is the connection between the psychological, neurological and immune systems of the body.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “Most folks are about as happy as they want to be.” Basically the mind can make the body fat and sick. At H3 in conjunction with diet and exercise, we teach our clients the power of thoughts and how to create positive thoughts and goals. This is extremely important when embarking on a health or fitness program. Often this education process includes a form of mindfulness meditation to become aware of the thoughts and to slowly over time change the negative thought process.
